This photo of Neil Armstrong. Ten years after his historic Moon walk, Neil visited the Wright Brothers’ home and cycle shop at The Henry Ford. Armstrong, an Ohioan like the Wrights, paid tribute to the brothers by riding a bicycle through Greenfield Village.
July 30, 1969 – Days after returning from their historic mission to the Moon, the crew of Apollo 11 remains in quarantine. Left to right, astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins, and Neil Armstrong dine in the Crew Reception Area of the Lunar Receiving Laboratory of the Manned Spacecraft Center (aka Johnson Space Center), Houston, Texas. Once they are deemed to be free of space germs, the spacemen are released on August 11, 1969. (NASA)
