Making a Self-Care Plan for You and Your Clients! During my last semester in graduate school, I developed an intervention I am proud to share with you all. It's a self-care plan that I implement with my clients, as well as in my personal life.
A Coping Toolbox filled with coping objects, items, photos, etc. for self care. This is a great idea for patients who need some coping skills. You can have them participate and make the toolbox together.
Time: mins Contraindications: Cognition, attention to task, fine motor deficits, inability to read and write. Goals: client come up with 5 positive affirmations about themselves that they can repeat out loud when anger strikes.
