Mix It Up Monday: Swirly Bird twisted easel
I’ve had a super busy crafty weekend. Friday morning was Crafty Friday, but more about that later in the week. Saturday afternoon was my Welcome Party for my new club members – a fun afternoon of crafting and chatting. But in between, Saturday morning, was my team meeting. We were a very small group so we just played with new products and chatted, which was lovely. Turns out we’d all ordered the same stamp set – Blooms and Wishes – but that was just about the only common ground, apart from…
Mix It Up Monday: Picture Perfect with Timeless Textures
It’s Mix It Up Monday and time for another colour combination from my In Color charts. Introducing the five-minute card… because I was packing away my craft supplies when I remembered that I didn’t have a Mix It Up Monday project for today. I’m running out of colour combinations as I tick them off my charts and this is the last Mint Macaron combo; I’ve also completed Tip Top Taupe. Just one left to complete on Cucumber Crush and Delightful Dijon; and two Watermelon Wonder combos to take on…
Dragonfly Dreams sneak peek
This Mix It Up Monday I have another sneak peek from the Spring/Summer catalogue for you. This time I’ve used the gorgeous new stamp set, Dragonfly Dreams, and the matching Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits dies. The dotty stamp in this set is just perfect for creating a faux bokeh look to your projects. Here I’ve stamped and stamped off repeatedly in Sweet Sugarplum, So Saffron, Soft Sky and, finally, in Versamark so I could emboss it in white on top. The dragonfly is created using three stamps…
Mix It Up Monday: Best Birds
It’s Mix It Up Monday again and time for another project made with a colour combination from my latest set of In Color charts. This wasn’t a particularly easy challenge… purely because, as I discovered, I have no Chocolate Chip cardstock whatsoever. Since Early Espresso was introduced into the range, I’m afraid I lost my love for Chocolate Chip and it rarely sees the light of day. So this card, which I intended to have a Chocolate Chip layer to break up the two pinks, has now taken a…
Blooms & Wishes with sweet Sweet Sugarplum
We in the UK have woken up to news that will either delight or devastate, depending on which way you voted in the European referendum. Whatever your thoughts on the outcome, the deed is now done. And while the future is uncertain, some things in life will not change. It will still rain on Bank Holidays (although the sun is shining for now), cats are still delightful (although come back tomorrow for a counter-argument) and stamping will still act as a great uniter of nations (no argument…
Mix It Up Monday: Birthday Fiesta llamas
It’s Mix It Up Monday again and time for another project made with a colour combination from my latest set of In Color charts. I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned it (I do really) but I really LOVE llamas. They really are great for very many reasons... the main one being: they are GREAT. Anyway, a friend of my husband’s has just bought a house with land and plans to fill it with animals. She’s started with a couple of pigs but, although I have a pig stamp in Barnyard Babies, I wanted to look…

Mix It Up Monday: Botanical Blooms bundle One-Sheet wonder
It’s Mix It Up Monday again and time for another colour combination from my In Color charts. I bet you thought I’d done a runner, didn’t you? Apologies for the long absence, I’ve been a little busy with Christmas which, coupled with the husband and I still feeling quite under the weather, has meant stamping and blogging has been put on the backburner. But I hope you had a good Christmas and, if in the UK, are enjoying the extended break. I’ve just had a fun session playing with new products…
