Blinded by the light
The old man must have stopped our car two dozen times to climb out and gather into his hands the small toads blinded by our lights and drops of rain. The rain was falling, a mist about his white hair and I kept saying you can't save them all, accept it, get back in we've got places to go! But, the leathery hands full of wet brown life, knee deep in the summer roadside grass-He just smiled and said "They have places to go too!" <3 my elders - my teachers <3 the world needs them!
Aww! Polar Bear Cub Cuddles Mom in Snow
Between Nov-Feb, cubs are born blind, covered with a light down fur, and weighing less than 2 lb. On average, each litter has 2 cubs. The family remains in the den until mid-Feb to mid-Apr, with the mother maintaining her fast while nursing her cubs on a fat-rich milk. By the time the mother breaks open the entrance to the den, her cubs weigh about 22-33 lb.
