1850s Day Dress.~ It's just soo pretty.

This dress was intended as a true day-to-evening ensemble. In addition to the altered day bodice pictured above, there is also an unaltered evening bodice. A single skirt could be worn with either bodice. Day dress Gift of the Helen Larson Estate

Three-piece cream silk de chine taffeta with tiny black windowpane & warp-printed floral patterns. Bodice has fringed teal taffeta trim. Dress has a belt with large peplum and an undecorated skirt with buckram hem band.
